The Six have been desperately trying to hold things together since Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) Christmas Day murder in EastEnders, but things took a turn for the worse in recent scenes when Denise Fox (Diane Parish) was sectioned.
The guilt of what they had done and the fear of getting caught took its toll on Denise, who recently began to display signs of psychosis.
However, when a concerned Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) revealed this to the rest of The Six, they had little sympathy, instead focusing their concerns on what this would mean for their freedom.
When Stacey later revealed to Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) that Denise needed proper help from a psychiatrist, Suki was dead against the idea, insisting that it would put them all in danger.
She emphasised to Stacey that, if Denise was admitted to hospital, she would undergo hours of talking therapy, giving her ample opportunity to reveal everything about Keanu’s death.
Elsewhere, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), who recently learnt about the murder, was equally as concerned about what Denise might let slip, pointing out to killer Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) that she could easily point authorities to the murder weapon or the body.
Concerned that the rest of The Six didn’t have Linda’s best interests at heart, he warned her to stay away from them, and cancel the meeting they had planned to discuss Denise’s condition.
Unfortunately, it was too late, as Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Suki soon arrived at the pub with bad news for the landlady.
Linda was horrified as they explained that there was an ambulance outside Denise’s house, and Kathy gravely pointed out what that could mean for them.
‘If they take her away, well that’s it, isn’t it? We’re done,’ Kathy said. ‘She’s going to tell them everything.’
Are The Six right to worry about what Denise may let slip? Could they all be facing prison time for what they’ve done?
