Toby-Alexander Smith shares loving message to real-life soap wife Amy Walsh in heartfelt tribute

Former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith has posted a sweet message to partner Amy Walsh on Mother’s Day.

The actor, best known for his role as Gray Atkins in the BBC One soap, married Amy last year after reportedly meeting while in the audience of a Strictly Come Dancing episode in 2019.

‘It was honestly the most perfect day,’ Amy told OK! Magazine at the time.

‘It surpassed all my expectations and more. I felt so surprisingly present on the day and loved every second. Now I’m just in pure bliss.’

Amy – who plays Tracy Shankley in Emmerdale – gave birth to her and Toby’s first child Bonnie over the festive period in 2021.

Yesterday, to celebrate Mother’s Day, Toby shared an adorable picture of Amy and Bonnie on his social media, paying tribute in a loving post.

Alongside the image of Amy and Bonnie at what looks like a farmyard, Toby wrote: ‘Thank you for everything you do and for keeping our little girl so happy!’.

Toby left EastEnders back in 2022, when Gray Atkins was arrested for killing Chantelle Atkins, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.

Over in Emmerdale, Amy is in the middle of a dramatic storyline after Tracy had an affair with Caleb Milligan (William Ash).

Last week, Tracy prepared for the grand opening of her new nursery, but had no idea Caleb was getting ready to ruin it all.

After Ruby (Beth Cordingly) told Caleb that he should do something to prove he loves her and not Tracy, he stood in front of a group of people at The Hide and exposed Tracy’s past as a sex worker.

The presentation ended in complete disaster, leaving Gabby (Rosie Bentham) with no choice but to tell Tracy their business deal would not continue.
