Surprise Announcement: No longer a rumor,Coronation Street Confirms Return of Another Iconic Star
Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) makes a major discovery in Coronation Street soon as Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returns – with someone alongside her.
When Alina was last in Weatherfield, she started a relationship with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). Largely due to Hope’s (Isabella Flanagan) jealousy, Alina and Ty’s time together wasn’t smooth sailing.
Trying to get rid of her dad’s new partner, Hope set fire to their flat. In the aftermath, a pregnant Alina discovered she had experienced a miscarriage and lost her and Ty’s baby.
This ordeal ultimately led her to leaving the cobbles. Prior to her return to Romania though, Alina was seen in the airport lounge holding her stomach and, thanks to these new pictures, it appears the theory about her being pregnant with Tyrone’s baby again was correct.
Alina is back in Manchester because she has been asked to attend a human trafficking trial as a witness.
While she’s doing her best to not bump into Tyrone and Fiz (Jennie McAlpine), Alina currently has no idea Ty’s mum Cassie exists – but that looks set to change pretty quickly.
In these new images, we see Alina and Cassie talking. Cassie has accepted her airport booking from StreetCars but has she done this unaware of who Alina is?
Or is this part of her plan?
With a pram by her side, it would certainly surprise us if the young child joining Alina on her trip back to Coronation Street isn’t her and Tyrone’s baby.
