NEW UPDATES: Where is Coronation Street’s Aggie Bailey? All heartbreaking updates

Fan favourite Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) has been away from Coronation Street for almost a year – and ITV soap viewers are naturally curious about where she is and if she’s coming back.

Earlier this week her husband Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) revealed that he had booked tickets to visit her in Birmingham, where she’s been living since last summer.

It has been explained that she’s staying in the second city whilst caring for her unwell aunt Marcelle, who she previously looked after in 2021 when she was deemed vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In November, her son Michael (Ryan Russell) revealed that she wouldn’t be back in Weatherfield for Christmas, which caused huge disappointment.

Too focused on his gambling addiction, Ed’s behaviour was spiralling out of control and in a bid to get his hands on some money to pay back a contractor called Tony, he staged a robbery at No. 3 and sold all of their presents.

The family were devastated when footage of him selling the gifts in a pawn brokers come to light, and realising the severity of the debt he was in, contacted Aggie.

Furious that she’d been kept out of the loop, she made it clear (albeit off-screen) that her marriage to Ed was over.

Upcoming scenes will see him return from his visit to Birmingham, having hoped to reconcile, with the news that she’s given him his marching orders.

With this intriguing update incoming, many viewers will be hoping to see Aggie – and actress Lorna Laidlaw – back with the Baileys sometime in 2024, though there’s no return news as yet.
