Nate Hastings’s Y&R Revenge Plot Against the Newmans

Nate Hastings got the short end of the stick with Victor and Victoria Newman on Young and the Restless. Victor plotted to trap Adam into “proving” his disloyalty by faking senility and waiting for his youngest son to suggest he be committed. Instead, it was ex-doctor Nate who made the perfectly reasonable suggestion that a sick man receive treatment. Victor said Nate was a traitor…and Victoria eventually agreed. Nate lost his girlfriend, Nate lost his job, and Nate lost his airtime. Do the Newmans expect him to just sit back and take it?

Nate Hastings: Sneak Attack

Well, yes, that’s exactly what the Newmans expect. But the Nate (Sean Dominic) who cheated on Elena (Brytni Sarpy) so he could sleep his way up the corporate ladder (remember when she said THIS to him?), isn’t the same Nate who meekly risked his medical license to protect Victor (Eric Braeden). This is a new, improved (?) Nate. And he won’t rest until Victor and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are made to suffer for their actions.

Mother Lode

Nate is also one of the few people who realizes Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has fallen off the wagon. He’s offered her support. He was sweet and considerate and, unlike her family, not controlling. Nikki appreciated that. How far will her appreciation go? And how much will Nate take advantage of that appreciation? Could Nate use his position as Nikki’s non-judgmental friend and issue a threat to get her into bed?

The Punisher

Nate sleeping with Nikki would hurt Victor. Nate sleeping with Nikki would hurt Victoria. Nate sleeping with Nikki would demonstrate how he is not a man to be trifled with. It would make him the power player he has long wanted to be. Now, it would also put him on Victor’s hit list and it will lead to him being completely crushed in the end. Because Victor Newman never loses. But, for a short amount of time, Nate will feel like he’s gotten back at the family that never treated him like an equal. Think this could really happen?
