BBC EastEnders spoilers: Martin Fowler exposes Stacey Slater and Jack Branning’s affair scandal to Denise Fox after dramatic return?

Martin Fowler (James Bye) made a dramatic return to Walford in recent EastEnders scenes, much to the horror of Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

Martin has spent the last few weeks with sister Michelle and friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in Australia, to help Michelle recover after her hysterectomy.

In Monday night’s (March 18) episode, Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) received a call from Martin, and was thrilled to hear that he had flown home early.

She explained how the family had been invited to a barbecue with the Brannings, and instructed Martin to head straight over as soon as he arrived.

Meanwhile, Stacey had spent the morning trying to keep Jack Branning from digging any further into the mystery surrounding Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) disappearance.

He was still eager to know why Keanu had run away when Denise had been the one to hit Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), but with Denise having promised to leave him if he kept asking questions, Stacey warned him that he’d better do as she said.

 

When she later went to talk to Denise, she pointed out that they couldn’t keep ignoring each other, as The Six had promised to stick together, and that Denise needed their support.

Though Denise pointed out that Stacey hadn’t given her a second thought when she slept with Jack, Stacey argued that she was now trying to save her marriage.

Later, at the barbecue, Stacey and Jack found some quiet time together outside, where Stacey revealed that he needed to work hard to repair his marriage.

She explained that, while she wanted to be selfish and continue their affair, Denise was too fragile, and she couldn’t betray her like that.

As they shared a goodbye kiss, they were interrupted by a horrified Martin.

Could he be about to expose their secret to Denise and ruin everything?
