There may be a murder mystery already underway, but Coronation Street is set to hit us with a second one – if Nathan Curtis’ (Chris Harper) attacker gets their way anyway as he is left for dead.
Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) vile abuser is causing anguish yet again, and also being linked to the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Public enemy number one, he is approached by a mystery assailant and mightily clobbered.
But who is responsible – and will he die?
Elsewhere, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is set to drop the mother of all bombshells as she reveals she has a secret son that she gave away.
In other developments, under the grip of the cult, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is lured away from the Street.
And her worried sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor) is determined to get to the truth.

Gemma realises Bernie’s been lying about her whereabouts and asks Dev to do some digging. Dev confronts Bernie, who crumbles, admitting she had another son, Zodiac (Zac for short), who was taken into care.
He was later adopted, changed his name to Christopher Green and she’s determined to find him.
Dee-Dee takes a call from the CPS informing her that they have some news regarding Lauren’s phone messages. Dee-Dee tells Carla and Nina about the messages which have come to light.
