ITV Coronation Street Spoilers: Steve McDonald is gobsmacked to interrupt kissing Tracy Barlow and Tommy Orpington

Tracy Barlow’s (Kate Ford) affair with Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) could be exposed in Coronation Street next week, as Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) interrupts them during his return home.

Shortly after Tracy hired Tommy as a painter and decorator, Steve packed his bags and left the cobbles for a holiday in France with daughter Emma.

While Steve was gutted to leave the same time his footballing hero arrived, he’s remained completely unaware Tommy O has been doing more than fixing kitchen cupboards and painting his bedroom walls.

Coming up, as Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) vie for Tommy’s attention, Tracy grabs her moment with Tommy, telling him to call in the shop with his invoice as Steve’s due back tomorrow and it’ll be their final chance to spend time together.

When Steve arrives home early, he tells Ken Barlow (William Roache) and Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) how he intends to impress Tracy and put the zing back in their marriage.

Over at the flower shop, Tracy’s relationship with Steve is the last thing on her mind, as she turns the sign to ‘closed’ and kisses Tommy.

Heading out to find his wife, Steve arrives at the shop and finds the door locked.

A curious Steve shouts and says he knows Tracy is inside.

As Tracy gingerly opens the door, with Tommy behind her, Steve is completely gobsmacked.

But can they find an excuse, or is this the moment Tracy and Tommy’s betrayal is revealed?

‘There’s really good chemistry between Tommy and Tracy,’ Matt Milburn told us.

‘I think he likes her sparky nature, her quick retorts and her banter is very sharp. He likes being kept on his toes. She’s not an easy target in ways.

‘I just think that they seem to have this chemistry between them that none of them see coming. Maybe because she’s off the menu, that unconsciously attracts him more.’
