ITV Coronation Street Spoilers: Sean Tully destroyed as the harrowing truth about Dylan Wilson is exposed

Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) has been subjected to vile and merciless bullying in Coronation Street, so much so that he seriously contemplated ending his life because things got so unbearable.

The instigator of the bullying has been Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), a boy at Liam’s school who is seriously unpleasant and doesn’t seem to have a kind bone in his body.

He’s also enlisted Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) to bully Liam, but Dylan’s involvement has been a lot more reluctant.

At first he wanted to impress Mason and be one of the ‘cool kids,’ as Liam McCheyne told us.

‘I think Dylan is very naïve in what he’s going into,’ he reflected. ‘Mason isn’t a true friend to Dylan, but he’s very easily influenced so I don’t think he realises what he’s getting himself into. He wants to fit in with the cool kids and be like them.’

As time has gone on, fear has also played a huge part in why Dylan goes along with what Mason wants him to do. He knows that if he disobeys, the treatment that Mason is handing out to Liam could easily be handed out to him.

Recently Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Gary (Mikey North) have discovered what has been going on, and Gary has tackled Sean (Antony Cotton) about Dylan’s involvement. But Sean was quick to defend his son.

In upcoming episodes Mason is pushing back against being exposed as a bully, goading Gary by telling him that Liam needs to watch his back.

Gary sees red and throws him to the ground, and this violent action is witnessed by Sean, who threatens to report Gary to the police.

In this new video, we see the moment Sean discusses Gary confronting Mason and unsurprisingly, Dylan continues to defend his mate.

Aware Liam was receiving abusive messages from his bullies, Sean asks to see Dylan’s phone, but he’s reluctant.

Eventually, Sean gets his hands on the device and as he scrolls through the messages, a terrible realisation dawns as he sees the content.

After realising what Dylan has been involved in, Sean can barely look at him. It’s Dylan’s birthday and Dylan feels terrible when he unwraps Sean’s gift of a specially engraved watch, knowing that Sean’s opinion of him has been changed forever.

Eileen (Sue Cleaver) urges Sean to talk to his son. Will he listen? Can Dylan ever make amends?
