ITV Coronation Street spoilers: A new low as Adam Barlow uses a cancer patient to free killer Harvey Gaskell

A very desperate Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is about to sink even lower in Coronation Street next week as he uses a cancer patient to try and free Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

A few weeks ago, Adam met up with Harvey and agreed to a deal that ultimately involves getting rid of Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), who is now with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

As part of the deal, Adam told Harvey that he’d look over his case and come up with a way they can appeal.

Aside from his history dealing drugs, Harvey is behind bars after murdering Natasha Blakeman. The appeal would involve proving to the courts that someone else killed Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) mum, making it look as though Harvey is actually innocent.

At the start of next week, it’s Sarah’s birthday and Adam is wound up to see her helping Damon move his things into the flat.

He is then dealt another blow when Sarah approaches and says it’s high time they discussed their divorce.

Struggling to hide his emotions, Adam tells Sarah that he wants the flat sold as he doesn’t want Damon living in what was once his home.

Later, Adam visits Harvey and runs through his grounds for appeal, pointing out the only way to be sure of success is if they pin Natasha’s murder on someone else.

Despite the shock, Adam continues with the plan as towards the end of the week, he listens to John go over his confession as they head to the police station.

But if this appeal doesn’t work, where will it leave Adam?

Will Harvey get revenge if it all falls apart?
