With a number of unexpected twists on a fate called into question, Coronation Street is certainly a must-watch next week (Picture: ITV)

Coronation Street serves up the high drama next week, as confirmed in my brand new batch of spoiler videos, with one legend rushed to hospital in agony while another faces jail.

Toyah Battersby’s (Georgia Taylor) problems go from bad to worse when she doubles over in agony after returning home early, with subsequent scenes seeing doctors deliver a bombshell when she’s rushed to hospital.

The question is: will she be okay? And just what news will she find out?

Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), meanwhile, fears the worst when DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) orders her down to the station for questioning, urging her to come clean about a criminal act.

And poor Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) suffers yet another devastating betrayal, this time at the hands of so-called friend Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who skips out in his pal’s birthday for a shocking reason.

Oh boy!

If you simply cannot wait for your next cobbles visit then you needn’t worry as I’ve got a first look at what’s on offer with the latest batch of video spoilers, so let’s have a look, shall we?

Monday, July 1

Steve is less than pleased over how uneventful his birthday party is. Cassie attempts to cheer him up but her efforts prove fruitless, with Steve curious about why Tim has failed to show up.

Brian, however, informs him that Tim has instead gone to the unveiling of Tommy Orpington’s bronze bust. Reeling, Steve decides to head to the event himself, with Cassie offering to drive him.

Wednesday, July 3

Toyah returns home to the flat, telling Nick that she’s not feeling very well. Nick is concerned and decides to pop to the shop to get her some tomato soup, which Sam reckons is the best cure to any illness.

Toyah is touched by his concern but, as soon as Nick exits the flat, she doubles over in pain, crying out for him to return – but it’s no use as he’s already gone. Will Toyah be okay?

Friday, July 5

Sarah is taken down to the station and cautioned once again by DS Swain, who reveals that Nathan Curtis has claimed that she paid him thousands of pounds in hush money following his attack.

Taken aback, Sarah sticks to her story, telling Swain that nothing Nathan says can be trusted – but the detective is clear that bribing someone to change their statement is perverting the course of justice and, if the claims are found to be true, she could be in a whole world of trouble.

What will Sarah do next?
