‘Groupie fans’ would call Coronation Street star Sam Robertson ‘Adam’ in bed
Coronation Street star Sam Robertson revealed he used to get more than a bit friendly with soap groupies during his early stint on the show.
The actor, who made his debut as Adam Barlow in 2004 aged just 18, admitted that fans would actually refer to him by his character’s name in bed.
‘I’d go to nightclubs and there were always loads of dolly birds hanging around looking for fun and I had lots of fun. But girls still called me Adam half the time,’ he said.
He added in a previous interview with the Mirror: ‘It’s weird when the girl shouts out your character’s name in bed. It’s also an easy excuse to kick them out on the street and not have to pay for dinner though!’
Who says romance is dead?
Sam’s character Adam is currently working through his plan to try and get rid of Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths).
In case you need a quick recap, Adam is currently in the middle of a deal with Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) – Damon’s brother. Adam has asked Harvey to ‘get rid’ of Damon, and has agreed to work on an appeal case surrounding Natasha Blakeman’s murder in return.
