EastEnders spoilers recently aired the secret romance brewing between Gina Knight and Dean Wick (Matt Di Angelo). Elaine Peacock caught Gina Knight wearing a smirk while she hit messages to her newfound romantic interest. Little does Elaine know that the person Gina is smitten with is none other than Dean Wick. Does his name ring any bell? It is the same guy who raped Linda Carter back in 2014.

EastEnders: “Gina Can’t Stop Thinking About Dean”
The duo have drawn closer recently when Gina backed Dean, despite everyone knowing he raped Linda nine years ago. As if this wasn’t enough, Dean also forced himself on his then-girlfriend, Roxy Mitchell, before leaving the soap in 2016. Seriously, Gina must see through Dean’s facade!
After spending time together, Gina and Dean’s relationship took it to the next level in the latest drop. It was revealed through the texts sent to Dean that Gina “can’t stop thinking about him.” Subsequently, The pair met up covertly in the alley behind the pub and were shown kissing out of sight.
There, Gina told Dean to take things slowly if they wanted to get into a relationship. Dean agreed but suggested that they better date outside the ‘fishbowl.’ So, the two can begin with their ‘journey’ without opinions and comments from familiar faces. Gina happily agreed and left without spotting a sinister look on Dean’s face. Is Dean playing Gina to settle the score with her family and Linda?
Matt Talks About Dean’s Return
The character made his return last year, and nobody liked him to be around. Surprisingly, he seemed to be oblivious to the fact that he ever raped Linda. It obviously made Linda struggle to cope. However, the situation deteriorated further when she realised that Gina believed Dean over her.
Matt Di Angelo opened up about his return. He said, “In all honesty, Dean doesn’t want to come back.” Angelo elaborated that his character is forced back there because of his sick daughter, Jade. And that Jade has cystic fibrosis and needs a transplant. The actor elaborated that his character is hesitant to return, knowing well the repercussions of returning. Nevertheless, He can’t stay back; he must help his family. His character has to be there for Jade in case the transplant comes through.
