80s TV legend and EastEnders star Vicki Michelle has revealed that she was rushed to hospital after suffering an agonising injury.

The actress took to Instagram to apologise to listeners of her radio show Vix Mix for having to cancel on Sunday, revealing that she had broken her shoulder after a nasty fall.

‘So Sorry Everyone No Vix Mix Sunday,’ she wrote, alongside a picture of herself with her arm in a sling.

‘I’ve had a nasty fall and broken my shoulder. Ouch! Bloody painful. Me at hospital. Hopefully be with you next week. Missing you already.’

Fans of the actress were quick to share their well wishes in the comments, with one writing: ‘I wish you a speedy recovery.’

More recently, Vicki has been spotted out and about nursing her broken shoulder. The actress headed out with her husband in Essex with her arm still in a sling.

Vicki has had an illustrious television career, and is perhaps best known for her role as Yvette Carte-Blanche in ‘Allo ‘Allo – though EastEnders fans will recognise her as Jo Cotton.

Vicki appeared as Rocky Cotton’s (Brian Conley) wife in a number of episodes of the BBC soap throughout 2023.

Jo arrived after being contacted by Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), who had been on a mission to track her down so that Rocky could ask her for an official divorce.

Rocky’s relationship with Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) was nearly destroyed by Jo’s sudden appearance, but the trouble didn’t end there.

When Kathy and Rocky eventually made it up the aisle, Kathy was completely oblivious to the fact that Jo hadn’t signed the divorce papers, meaning that she and Rocky were still married.

After a scrap with Jo in the Queen Vic, Kathy paid Jo off to keep her quiet about Rocky’s bigamy, before calling in back up from son Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) who successfully drove Jo out of Albert Square for good.
