Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) will return to EastEnders again in the near future.
A few months ago, Karen made her way back to Albert Square in search of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
She returned to Benidorm under the impression Keanu had done something dramatic in the aftermath of Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) revealing little Albie is actually Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) son. Karen remained unaware that Keanu was actually buried under the cafe floorboards after being murdered by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Recently, Keanu’s body was discovered after the floor collapsed, and it wasn’t long until Bernie (Clair Norris) was informed she had lost another sibling.
When Sharon was arrested, the rest of the women decided to keep hold of the murder weapon in case they needed turn on Linda.
Linda had other ideas, however, and revealed that she planned to confess to stabbing Keanu on Christmas Day.
Fortunately, before it came to that, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was struck by a plan, which would hopefully get The Six off the hook as well as finally put rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) behind bars.
After entering his flat under false pretences, Stacey planted the weapon, before Linda tipped off the police.
Dean was promptly arrested, and as his interrogation continued, things weren’t looking good for him.
The fact that Dean had planned to take daughter Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green) to America at short notice and had stolen funds from her charity account in order to do so did not go in his favour, and once the confusion had worn off, Dean realised what was going on.
He was quick to announce that he had been framed, and believed that either Stacey, Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) or Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) were behind it.
When police went to question them, the truth soon came out about Dean tampering with Jade’s medication, which was backed up by Jade herself.
With all of this information and test results confirming that the meat thermometer in Dean’s flat had been used to kill Keanu, Dean was promptly charged with his murder.
With Bernie needing all the support she can get, Metro.co.uk understands that Karen Taylor will make another brief return to Walford in the aftermath of learning her son has died.
But what will her reaction to this devastating development be?
