BREAKING NEWS: Bobby Brazier’s EastEnders return confirmed – and a show legend is back with him

Bobby Brazier is set to return to his role as Freddie Slater in upcoming EastEnders episodes – but he is not alone.

Freddie was last seen leaving Albert Square to spend some time with mum Little Mo Slater (Kacey Ainsworth), after being released on bail following an attack on sinister stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).

Now, he is set to return to Walford, bringing none other than the iconic Mo Harris (Laila Morse) back with him.

Mo first appeared on the show back in 2000 when she moved into the Square with the rest of the Slater family.

Over the years, she has been involved in countless dodgy dealings and some huge storylines, including one that saw her help a young Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) give birth and another where she faked Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) death.

She left Walford back in 2021 to go on a cruise with fiancé Fat Elvis, and has since reappeared for several guest stints.

Now, she is heading back to Albert Square this spring on a permanent basis, though the exact circumstances of Mo and Freddie’s return are still under wraps, it will surely be eventful with Mo involved.

Actress Laila Morse revealed that she is ‘delighted’ to be returning to the show and getting to reunite with her fellow EastEnders cast members.

‘I’m delighted to be coming home to Walford to bring Mo back to life. EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to be reunited with my on screen family, who are like my family, as well as old and new faces.’

Executive producer Chris Clenshaw is equally thrilled to have her back, saying: ‘We are absolutely delighted to welcome back Laila Morse to the role of Mo Harris.

‘Although her time away from the Square has been short-lived, the Slater family has endured a huge amount of drama since she last appeared on screen and Mo’s return will be no different.

‘We’re delighted to welcome Laila back permanently as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside great-grandson Freddie.’

Before they arrive on screen, an exclusive first-look at Mo and Freddie’s decision to return home will premiere on the EastEnders TikTok channel in a limited series, following both characters in Mo’s caravan where she has been living ever since leaving Walford.
