BREAKING NEWS: BBC EastEnders legend Danny Dyer’s TV return confirmed in new picture

EastEnders legend Danny Dyer left the soap in 2022 to pursue new roles and now fans have been given a first look into his latest project with a new picture.

Danny’s EastEnders character, the much loved Mick Carter, went missing at sea on Christmas Day 2022 and has since been presumed dead, following almost ten years of dramatic and hard hitting storylines.

Over the years, Mick learnt that his sister Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) was actually his mother, married the love of his life Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), subsequently got divorced and then married Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).

Among his family drama, Mick also had to deal with Linda’s alcoholism, as well as coming to terms with the fact that he had been abused as a child before speaking up in court against abuser Katy Harris.

Danny’s new role is worlds away from pub landlord Mick, as he makes his TV comedy debut in the Sky Original series Mr Bigstuff, playing the role of Lee.

Mr Bigstuff is a relatable comedy created by Ryan Sampson, who also stars as Lee’s brother Glen, that explores broken families, brotherhood, manhood and carpet sales.

Lee and Glen are estranged brothers and couldn’t be more different.

While Glen is a nervy perfectionist and carpet salesman striving to live the suburban ideal, Lee is an alpha male with a prescription drug addiction and a biscuit tin full of their dad’s ashes.

Glen’s mundane life with fiancé Kirsty (Harriet Webb) is thrown into chaos when Lee arrives, on the run from a past that’s quickly catching up with him.

The trio are forced together: a perfectionist, a fantasist and an anarchist all living under the same roof in an Essex cul-de-sac. It’s not long before their ‘perfect’ lives start to unravel faster than the weave of a cheap carpet.
