EastEnders’ Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) is to be left horrified when her mate Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) tries to kiss her.
For quite some time, viewers of the BBC One soap have seen Nugget become concerned at the way Amy’s boyfriend Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) has treated her.
Deep in his addiction to anabolic steroids, on more than one occasion he’s favoured the gym over a date night.
The school boy became hooked on the drugs after feeling ashamed when he was attacked by a group of bullies on Edward Road as his friend Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) watched on.
Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) rushed over, but tripped on her shopping bag and injured herself.
The next day, Avani and Nugget mocked him over the incident, which had been filmed and posted on social media.
When Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) noticed the altercation, the lads were invited to the Boxing Den to better channel their emotions – but Denzel later became fixated on bettering his physique to combat any further attacks.
Denzel was elated when a well known fitness influencer reached out to him to make a collaborative workout video, and enlisted Nugget to help him with it.
However, when prematurely uploaded the video online to a wave of negative comments, it proved to be a catalyst for his concerning decision to order the pills online.
In upcoming scenes, Amy confides in Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) that she wants to sleep with Denzel.
At No. 20, she asks him for some alone time at his party, but as the two head upstairs it becomes clear that he’s struggling to have sex due to the effects of the steroids.
Amy tries to make him feel better, but ultimately she feels offended that they were unable to sleep together.
Later in the evening she heads to McKlunky’s when Nugget stumbles in and tries to cheer her up – but then misreads the situation and tries to kiss her.
Back at home, Penny notices her unease and delves deeper into her emotions, insisting that she must hold both Denzel and Nugget accountable for their actions.
Meanwhile, trying to cover for his earlier mistake, Nugget lies to his best pal and says Amy tried to kiss him. Furious, he storms around to her house and breaks up with her.
But things are set to go from bad to worse…
Nugget continues to questions his friendships, and later pleads with Denzel to give him some steroids in the hope they’re the answer to his woes.
