BBC EastEnders ‘set to cast’ iconic TV star who is ‘in talks’ for big soap role

Loose Women panellist Linda Robson has revealed she’s in talks to join EastEnders.

The presenter and actress, also known for her role in the sitcom Birds of a Feather, opened up about her reluctancy to retire, and how she would love to take a trip to Walford because she believes she’d ‘be quite good on there’.

Linda, 65, said: ‘One of the producers came up to me recently and asked why I’d never been on the show. “Because you ain’t f***ing asked me!” I told him’.

‘He said they would have to do something about that’, she revealed to the Daily Mail on Sunday.

The star, who said she would be ‘bored out of my mind’ if she entered retirement, added: ‘So you never know! I think I’d be quite good on there, don’t you?’.

With EastEnders airing some intense storylines right now, Linda would be thrown into the drama straight away if she was to join the BBC One soap.

Following Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder on Christmas Day, two members of The Six are currently struggling to keep the truth a secret.

For Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) – who killed Keanu – she has turned to drink to try and numb what she’s been feeling.

Linda will face another challenge this week following the return of son Johnny, now played by Charlie Suff.

‘Johnny is back in Walford because he has caught wind from his Gran that things aren’t going too well for Linda,’ Charlie explained.

‘There’s a lot of worry about his mum, and the family needs Johnny back home to steer the ship and get things back on track. There is a lot going on!’

Elsewhere, Denise (Diane Parish) – who was responsible for attacking and very nearly murdering Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) – is causing great concern for friends and family, who are unaware she has started hallucinating dead Keanu.
