After past speculation EastEnders’ Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) is lying about his ill health, a doctor has confirmed the evil man is dying.
Following weeks away from Walford, Nish made a return recently and revealed to the Panesars that he’s been diagnosed with a heart condition.
Of course, the likes of Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) refused to believe the abusive, manipulative man, so Nish turned his attention to other people in Walford.
After Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) shut him down, Nish headed into the café and found Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris). The café worker told Nish that ‘family is everything’ and so, he headed off to find another Panesar – his grandson Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).
In McKlunkys, Nish spoke about how unwell he is and it was obvious Nugget was feeling sorry for him. The chat was then interrupted by a very angry Ravi, who grabbed Nish and threw him into some chairs, with the altercation being enough to make Nish feel even worse.
Later, in hospital, Suki arrived ready to see her ex.
As Suki and Ravi entered the room, they were somewhat taken aback to see Nish in such a state. When the doctor mentioned Nish’s heart diagnosis, Suki was stunned to realise he was telling the truth after all.
When the rest of the Panesars arrived, they listened as the doctor confirmed Nish needs a heart transplant but because he is so poorly, there is a slim chance of finding him a donor in time.
After previously being told he had years left – this news left Nish completely shocked.
