Coronation Street Star Stuns Fans with Unexpected Family Growth Announcement!

Former Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson has shared her elation with fans following the birth of her nephew Reuben.

Lucy-Jo, 41, is best known for her role as Katy Harris in the ITV soap. Her exit storyline, which saw Katy murder her dad Tommy (Thomas Craig) and then take her own life by overdosing on sugar, recently played out in classic episodes which air on ITV3.

She also played Donna-Marie Quinn in Hollyoaks for five yers, alongside other soapy roles in Casualty, Doctors and Sunday night drama Wild at Heart.

Off-screen, she was married to her former co-star, Tyrone Dobbs’ Alan Halsall for nine years and the pair share their daughter Sienna Rae. In early 2020, she gave birth to her son Carter with current partner, fellow actor Lewis Devine.

The pair are now celebrating a new addition to the family – as they become aunt and uncle to Lewis’ sister Olivia’s son.

Sharing a picture of her holding baby Reuben, sat alongside Lewis and their two children, as well as Reuben’s elder sister Esther, she captioned it: ‘The newest addition to the family – Welcome Baby Reuben.’

‘He’s an absolute beauty, congratulations @oliviadevinex @joshdaley07 he’s already a credit to you, as is Esther, his big sis (on the right of the pic above).’

She continued: ‘Swipe to see Sienna adoring the baby and Carter more interested in his ice lolly or lolly ice as @lewisdevineofficial would say.’

The snaps were rounded-off with the hashtags #newbabyinthefamily, #babyreuben and #cousins.

New mum Olivia commented: ‘Aww he loved his cuddles with you all! We can’t wait to make more memories.’

The joy comes just weeks after Lucy-Jo documented her own parenting struggles on social media, uploading a picture of herself crying.

‘I don’t normally post things like this… because I know there are people out there with real problems and mine are quite inferior to those’ she wrote.

‘So I wanted to speak from the heart on here…This week has been tough, I’ve really not coped well…’

She added: ‘I’ve had a lot of work on, followed by a lot of sleepless nights (with carter not being 100%) that has then lead to him being really challenging. And there’s a lot of times that I’ve been able to cope with him and his behaviour, but this week… it just broke me.’

‘We have to juggle full time parenting, with full time work, while we look after our health, and fit time in to train, while running a house, renovating it, and cooking and cleaning and giving your kids your time, your partner, your family, friends, and showing everyone on here how amazing your life is.’
