Can you believe it? It’s ten years since Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) was brutally murdered in EastEnders, and as her family gathers to remember her, mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) finds herself in a sticky situation.
The legacy character was killed off in undoubtedly the BBC soap’s biggest-ever storyline at Easter in 2014.
In a huge ‘whodunnit?’ plot, it wasn’t until the following February that we learnt her half-brother Bobby (then Eliot Carrington) had hit her over the head with a jewellery box that she used to store her drugs.
In a further bizarre twist, it was revealed last year that Cindy hadn’t died 25 years ago as originally thought, but had been living under a witness protection scheme in Spain.
After learning Lucy had died, she put her new family’s lives at risk and jetted back to Walford to watch ex-husband Ian (Adam Woodyatt) grieving from afar.
